401(k) Retirement Plan
After a six-month waiting period, associates can contribute up to 100% of their gross wages to a 401(k) retirement plan with several investment election options. When able, Geiger offers a discretionary matchas an incentive for associates to contribute to the plan.
Associates may be eligible for bereavement pay following the loss of a family member, based on the stipulations of our Bereavement Policy.
Breaks / Lunch
In most cases, full-time Associates are granted two ten-minute break periods and a half-hour lunch break per workday.
Associates are eligible for discounts through Verizon Wireless. Other local vendor discounts are available for Maine associates.
Dry Cleaning Services
Free pick up and delivery for all associates.
Associates may be eligible for reimbursement for the cost of courses, seminars, workshops, etc., that are related to their work. Associates who obtain our industry certification receive a bonus.
Flexible Spending Benefits
Available to all regular associates working 30+ hours, for Medical and Dependent Care Reimbursement. This benefit allows our Associates to put tax-free money aside though payroll deductions to be reimbursed when eligible medical and dependent care expenses are incurred. Coverage begins the 1st of the month following one month of employment.
Flexible Time Off
All regular hourly office associates and factory supervisors will be credited with seven (7) days of personal leave per year and all regular non-supervisory factory associates will be credited with five (5) days of personal leave per year to be accrued on a month-by-month basis according to the specifications of the Flexible Time Off Policy.
Hourly office associates have the option to adjust their work hours to provide for a later starting or ending time, longer lunch period, etc., on a regular or occasional basis. These adjustments are subject to the guidelines in the Flextime Policy and supervisory approval. Due to the nature of production work, we regret that we cannot offer this option to our factory associates at the present time.
Geiger Associate Assistance Program (GAAP)
This program is a free counseling, assessment and referral service for associates (and their families) who have problems which they feel unable to solve alone. This program is completely confidential between the individual and the GAAP counselor. Information provided during a counseling session will not be revealed to anyone (unless required by law) without written permission by the individual.
We are working to be the standard of excellence in our industry, and have an ongoing Geiger Quality (GQ) Program in place. This gives every associate the opportunity to be personally responsible for making improvements to their jobs. Input from every level is welcomed.

Coverage available for associates while commuting or traveling on company business.
Insurance – Dental
We provide our regular associates working 30+ hours, with a dental plan that covers preventative expenses as well as other basic dental expenses and a vision discount program through our dental providers’ affiliation with a national vision care company. Benefits are available for associates and for any dependents, including domestic partners, at a reasonable cost. Coverage begins the 1st of the month following one month of employment.
Insurance – Disability
Accident and sickness coverage is also provided at no charge for regular associates working 30+ hours. This insurance pays for absences due to non-work related illnesses or injuries. The amount paid is based on each associate’s classification. Coverage begins the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.
Insurance – Group Medical
We provide our regular associates working 30+ hours, with a very liberal group insurance plan which covers hospitalization, surgery, and major medical expenses. Geiger pays a portion of the cost of this coverage for associates and for any dependent coverage, including domestic partners. Coverage begins the 1st of the month following one month of employment.Ai?? The plan has a Health Reimbursement Account feature and associates can earn wellness dollars to offset medical expenses.
Insurance – Life
Geiger provides free life insurance coverage to all regular associates working 30+ hours. The amount is based on each associate’s classification and includes an additional provision for Accidental Death and Dismemberment. Coverage begins the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Dependent Life Insurance available at group rates.
Internal Job Postings
Recognizing that many associates want to learn and grow, we post all internal, full-time openings.
Jury Duty Pay
Geiger will pay the difference between an associate’s regular, straight-time pay and the amount received from the Court when required to serve on a jury.
Available for nursing mothers.
On-Site Nursing Services
An occupational health nurse is available full-time in our Lewiston facility. Although the primary area of responsibility is managing work-related injuries, the nurse is also available for non-work related illnesses, questions, and information.
Hourly associates are paid time-and one-half their regular wage rate for working over 40 hours in one week.
Every associate has the ability to help the company be more profitable. This means that when you are performing at your best, or suggesting a process improvement, you are making sure that we are maximizing our labor dollars, decreasing waste, and keeping down costs. Profit sharing payments to associates will be contingent on meeting the profit goals are established for the corporation and for each Business Group at the start of the year. Regular associates are eligible to participate in the profit sharing program.
Safety Shoe Subsidy
Available for all production associates.
Children of Geiger associates are eligible to apply for college scholarships through the generosity of Promotional Products Continuing Education Foundation.
Geiger recognizes and celebrates long-term service by presenting a service award to its associates every five years.
Factory associates scheduled to work full-time on second or third shift are paid an hourly premium in addition to their regular base rate of pay.
Associates receive paid vacations based on their years of service as of June 1 each year according to the specifications of the Vacation Pay Policy. (During the first year, vacation pay is calculated on a pro-rated basis determined by an associate’s hire-date.)
Geiger is committed to helping associates improve and maintain their overall health and wellbeing. To that end, we offer such activities as: Weight Watchers at Work; weekly blood pressure checks; healthy selections in our vending machines; Heart & Sole Walking Club; on-site chair massages; and our Wellness Works Fitness Center, an on-site facility including treadmills, elliptical machines, universal and smith machines, free weights, fitness balls, showers, air conditioning and lockers.
